A good villa with pretty good location in Ubud. The view is not as good as I expected, but it’s okay. The staff were friendly. The breakfast is decent but it’s not a buffet so we were asked to select which kind of breakfast that we wanted. The room is average, not very big and looked a little old. But the price is pretty expensive in my opinion.

Such an amazing place, so quiet, peaceful, clean and comfortable. The staff is very helpful and charming. The standing is very high. It includes activities that I really enjoyed, yoga, little tour, traditional offerings. Breakfast was good and generous. Brand new place , clean (the pool also), well designed

Definitely needs maintenance, improvement and repairs. Stayed here last year, but not too happy to see the room. My room was very dusty, noisy, chair fabric has many dirty spots and marks and hotel construction feels cheap. Breakfast was so so and some cutleries were all dirty, looking unwashed and many leftover food stains. Swimming pool is cold and location is pretty far from Ubud main streets.

Overall, the hotel is very good. However, it definitely needs repairs especially at the pool and at the private pools in the villas. There are nails/screws sticking out of the wooden slats which are sometimes broken. There were some problems with the water in the bathroom which sometimes did not work. The staff was super friendly especially in the evening in the restaurant. In the morning for breakfast, on the other hand, there were problems with understanding every now and then. Nevertheless, the staff was extremely friendly especially with children. The fitness center smelled very strongly of mold. The spa was great and the prices fair. The pickup service to and from Ubud also worked great. The rice fields behind the villas are actively farmed, so you have to expect disturbances here. Especially since there are quite large snakes on the road, which then of course show themselves. The food - morning and evening - is too boring in the long run. The service inconsistency was difficult. The main pool is completely in the shade and thus one froze there for the most part, only in the morning until about 11/12 o'clock was some sun at the pool. In addition, there were only limited sun loungers. The entire area included about 12 - 14 sunbeds for the entire hotel. We had fortunately booked the hotel with a heavy discount. The full price I would not have seen justified. In addition, I find it in international comparison not worth 5 stars. It was overall very nice but we would still not go a 2nd time.

The location of Ubud Garcia appears remote, distant from the business center of Ubud, requiring transportation for convenience. The absence of nearby shops and the discomfort caused by the smell of burning straw from surrounding residents are notable aspects. My daughter broke a cup on the first day while taking a shower. When I called the customer service, the first thing the staff said was that we would be charged an additional fee for breaking the cup, instead of asking if anyone was injured or quickly cleaning up the glass. I paid IDR100,000 for the cup, and they didn't even provide us with a new one. The service was very poor, all about the money, quite ridiculous." At check-in, there's a requirement to sign a disclaimer stating that the hotel is not responsible for any injuries to guests. I hope those considering this hotel are prepared. Manager Yande, I hope you train your staff better. Very disappointed, and we won't be returning. The service at Kempinski hotel, in comparison, is much better." And when we check out, the staff claiming there is a plate missing. They want to steal money from customer. What a joke lol
